Announcing the winners!

As you know, we put the students of the third cohort to the test by hosting the third Clarity Universe hackathon. Out of the group, 7 students answered the call and got to work. It is amazing to see the just exactly how far everyone has come along, with some having had their first introduction to smart contracts during the camp. We are pleased to announce the winning projects and invite you to check them out:

    1. Helping Hands Helping Hands took the top spot in this hackathon for its exceptional code quality and the unique use case and problem it solves. Blockchain technology is about applying trustlessness and transparency to big problems. Helping Hands provides a path forward for trustless charitable giving, and we’re excited to see where it goes next. https://claritycamp3hack.devpost.com/submissions/347114-helping-hands
  2. Paydii Another project that tackles a real-world problem, Paydii was a very close second. This project created a set of smart contracts designed to facilitate decentralized buying and selling of digital goods. With some more building and refinement, Paydii has the potential to become a pioneer in the world of decentralized digital marketplaces. https://claritycamp3hack.devpost.com/submissions/346189-paydii
  3. Stacks Guild Finally, Stacks Guild took the third place spot here, identifying and creating a unique and creative solution to a problem in the gamefi space. There was some interesting Clarity work done here in order to solve for the problem of non-custodial NFT lending, and we were impressed with the thought that was put in to create a simple solution. https://claritycamp3hack.devpost.com/submissions/346162-stacks-guild
Thanks to all who participated in the cohort and the hackathon. We hope you had fun and learned a lot (we sure did!) If you are thinking about where to go next, know that the Stacks Foundation issues grants to eligible project ideas and that the Stacks Startup Lab and Stacks Ventures are currently taking applications for the next cohort. You can also always find your fellow students and community members in the official Discord server.
